These boots are very nice for the price. The size seems to run about one quarter size larger than actual. I normally wear a 6.5 to 7 so went with the 6.5 based on other reviews and they are just a tad too big. I would rather that than too small so they work just fine. They are beautiful boots. I love the colors and the height and width is perfect. I have small calves and appreciate finding a boot that is reasonably narrow. The only real complaint I have is that the threads in the inside of the boot shaft were apparently treated with heat which left several little hard spots inside the boots which rubbed and scratched my calves. I finally took a lighter to the thread ends and then pressed them flat against the leather while they were still hot. This fixed the problem and finished the thread ends smoothly.UPDATE:After one month of wear I could not be more disappointed. The fit is awesome, they are comfortable and I absolutely love the color and style. So what is wrong you ask? I have been wearing them mostly around town until this week. I was leading my horse and he side stepped a little and nicked my heel with his hoof (he doesn't have shoes it was raw hoof). The nick didn't even cause me to stumble, I simply felt it and we kept going. When I got into the barn and leaned down to pick something up, I noticed a small nick in the heel of my new boot! If it were just a nick in the leather, I wouldn't care as that is bound to happen. Rather, an ugly white plastic was exposed through a fraction of an inch of leather covering. It looks horrendous and upon further evaluation of the situation later that day, I noticed the other boot has a wear spot starting on the back of the heel exposing this hideous white plastic. What?!!! It wouldn't be so bad if the plastic didn't stand out like a sore thumb! I am really frustrated and will be in touch with Amazon to see if they will return the boots. Arg! I really liked these boots! I plan on sharing my experience with Justin Boots too! TBC.Initially, Amazon sent me exactly one size larger than what I ordered. They were too big. I sent them back and requested to have the right size sent. Amazon was very compliant, and now that I have the right boots, I am very happy with them. They fit perfectly in all areas. They are especially roomy in the toe, which is a relief because my last pair of boots were way too tight in the toe area. A word from the wise: in general, riding boots tend to run on the small side in comparison to regular shoes. I normally wear a size 10, but I got a size 9.5 in these boots, and like I said, I couldn't be happier with the fit. Also, I would suggest that you plan for ample break-in time, because the leather is very stiff at first. During the break-in period, you may want to wear boot socks. My boots rubbed my legs at the top of the shaft at first. But good quality, cute, and comfortable! I can't wait until I have these boots completely broken in. I plan to wear them as my every-day walking shoes, and of course I'll be riding in them.the product was not what we wanted. My niece wanted the turquoise boots that the photo shows. We were sent neon lime green-twice. Seems there was a error on the end of Amazon and they were not certain they could actually even get the turquoise back in stock. (they have since changed the options to reflect this) We got such a good deal on them and with the discount offered by Amazon due to the mix up it was a smarter financial choice to keep the green ones. Having said that-they fit great, look good and have served their purpose fully. Aside from the color issue there are not any problems or issues at all.I am an exclusive Justin Boots wearer (14 years, always fit!), and always wear a 6C or 6.5C or B. I do have pretty high arches, so can't wear Ariats at all! I had so much PAINFUL difficulty getting these on, because the shaft is really narrow, and almost at a right angle to the shoe, at the base. I think the company has changed its patterns, because this is the third pair of Justins I've ordered with the same problem. The Bent Rail style has the same issue.Because I liked the style and color of these boots so well, and wanted to make them work, that night I ordered myself a boot-length shoe horn to see if I could make them work. I am sad and disappointed to report that even the wonderful new magic shoe horn didn't help. I did get the boots on finally, and they were comfortable, and fit as expected. Just to make myself feel better, I went to my local Boot Barn store and tried a pair of size 7 and 8…NO DICE! I'm really disappointed to return these. They're great looking, quality boots! Also reviewing George Strait Waterproof Ladies Riding Boot, which fit somewhat similarly. It was a bit easier to get on, so may keep them. Though hey're not nearly as handsome. These boots are perfect for me. I normally wear a 7, I ordered a 6.5 and they fit great. The top of the boot is narrow which is what I wanted because I have very small calves. These boots are very pretty. I love the color! They are extremely comfortable. I have worn them for both work and play.Boots are cute- heel is just what I was looking for. But they are so stiff especially in the ankle. Hope they soften up!Stay tightOnly downfall is difficult to size accurately
