I was caught in the middle….regular boots were too tight on my calf and these are too loose. I did not return as I can tuck jeans or leggings inside the boots with plenty of room.The boots are beautiful & I'll be able to wear them for shorter periods of time. However, I found the boots to be somewhat smaller in the calf than I expected. My biggest complaint is how stiff the material is. There is no stretch or give to the material & it bunches in a weird spot on my leg causing pressure & pain.I am very pleased with these boots. In particular, they are true to size and width. I ordered my regular shoe size, and the extra wide width size worked out very well for my wide feet. I am a big curvy girl and normally only order shoes from Torrid, but these boots fit me perfectly. The brown color goes nicely with either black leggings or slim jeans, and I received compliments from both men and women. I was quite pleased when a gentlemen complimented me on my outfit and then mentioned how nice my boots went with my outfit. One criticism is the "squeak" that another purchaser noted. However, that is a minor item, when one considers the appearance, fit, and beautiful style of theses boots. Particularly for me, it is not every day when a guy will come up to me and start a conversation about how nice my outfit looks and my boots and then stay a while to talk with me!These boots are elegant looking and practical in that they hit just under the knee, so they keep your entire leg covered and warm. The only drawback is they run a tad large, so you should order one half size lower than you actually wear. That said, I can tuck my jeans into the boots and still not feel confined. I wear a size ten and I'm 5'9" tall, so it is not all that easy to buy a pair of boots that cover my entire calf and beyond. These are well worth the money charged forthem.Didn’t like colorI bought these for my wide feet. They are also wide calf. Too wide.I have a very hard time finding boots that will fit my 18" calves. These fit with room to spare to tuck in jeans. I'd read in other reviews that the foot ran narrow, so I ordered the XWide instead of Wide width, and that worked for me. There's not much arch support, but they're roomy enough to put in an orthotic. The one thing I didn't like, though, was their awkward height. They come right to the middle of my knee (I'm 5'7"), so they hit it in front when walking and in back when sitting. I might have kept them anyway, because they're cute and they fit, but I ordered 2 pairs of Comfortview boots and like the others better.
